Workgroup Functions

Early Warning & Response System (EWRS)

  • Design and enhance data collection strategy
  • Design and enhance FERPA policies; data-sharing, parental permission procedures and trainings
  • Identify and develop useful reports for school and community partners
  • Develop the outcomes, results and evaluation framework

Family and Community Engagement

  • Ensure alignment and non-duplication of service via the place-based strategy
  • Who Got You Through? Develop shared communication strategies that build support and drive volunteer recruitment
  • Sharing of best practices and professional development opportunities
  • Support the school and district level needs assessment and community conversations

Resouce Team Functions

Resource Teams

  • Select indicators and evaluate progress toward school specific goals
  • Guide annual Community Needs Assessment for each school district
  • Identify challenges to implementation and barriers to learning in the district; recommend new services
  • Mobilize local resources such as volunteers and in-kind donations
  • Promote community participation through family nights, homework diners, Parent U and other events
  • Support school personnel through faculty and staff appreciation initiatives
  • Develop shared communication strategies that build support
