- In 2005, Buncombe County prepared a 10 year plan to end homelessness. See the progress being made.
- The North Carolina Housing Coalition is a leading advocate for safe and affordable housing.
Health
- This website looks at a variety of statistics that reveal the health of the county. By entering the State and County, you can access that information. This website highlights their approach, ranking methods, action steps you can take, and stories from counties throughout the United States that are taking action to improve their health results.

- Confused by who represents you? The Board of Elections has this cool site that allows you to type in your street address and it will tell you all you need to know - your district, who represents you and where you should go to vote!

- Use this link to see your elected representatives to the State and Federal government; North Carolina officials and agencies; local officials, issues, and legislative alerts; issues and legislation for Education, Income and Health on a national level; members of NC’s delegation to Congress; and a media guide. You can navigate each of these links to get more information as well as directly contact representatives and officials.
