Donita's Decision to GIve

Donita didn’t know much about United Way growing up, but as a youth, she benefitted greatly from a lot of partners in which United Way invests.

Knowing how those programs affected her as a child and how essential United Way is in our community, she feels it’s only right to give back now. For Donita and her husband, it’s a personal decision to give at the Leadership Giving level, because it’s something they feel strongly about based on faith.

Donita loves United Way’s philosophy of investing all of our resources to a large group of organizations working here in our community. Giving together with others and working together to achieve amazing results in people’s lives is a great experience. Additionally, United Way’s oversight of its investments - holding community partners accountable to standards of excellence and outcomes that align with needed improvement in Education, Income and Health - lets Donita know she's supporting work that is really making a difference.
