We envision an engaged community where each child develops and succeeds academically, socially and emotionally.
Unfortunately, many children are not prepared to enter kindergarten. Many children do not move successfully from kindergarten through high school graduation. The diverse educational needs of children and youth are not met. So, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County has invested $752,733 for 2012-2013 in community partners who achieve results like these:
Children from birth to kindergarten attend high-quality, affordable early care and education programs. - $253,776
