A record number of attendees were present for Tuesday morning's Legislative Briefing by the NC Budget and Tax Center and United Way of North Carolina. The gathering, held at AB Tech's Enka campus is one of 10 being held across the state and is expected to be the largest.
Each year the Legislative Briefing brings analysis of economic conditions, budgetary decisions and assesments of their combined impact on our state and local communities. Non-profits and local governments utilize this information so that they can be better informed and prepared for the issues that lie ahead.
Here is the Companion Guide that was provided to participants. It outlines important details that were presented but doesn't rely on that presentation to understand its contents.
United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County has hosted this briefing for more than thirteen years. This year we were grateful for the support of our local co-sponsors:Community Foundation of WNC, the League of Women Voters of Asheville/Buncombe County, Women for Women, and Children First/Communities in Schools.
