We believe members can significantly impact their community through networking, volunteerism and leadership development.

Networking: You can connect with other young, active professionals through common experiences and, together, be part of a collective action that changes lives. Our networking events are a lot of fun, in cool venues and offer a great chance to get to know people who share your passion for the community.

Volunteerism: You can improve the condition of others by participating in projects specifically designed for Highlands Circle members and prospective members with Hands On Asheville-Buncombe. These projects are developed to make a difference in the areas of Education, Income and Health, such as our annual Backpack Project, which provides fully stocked backpacks to area children to make sure they begin the school year with the supplies they need to suceed.

Leadership Development: You can enhance your leadership skills and further recognize the power of philanthropic giving. Highlands Circle members expand their understanding of the responsibility of stewardship, gain access to information on challenges facing organizations and individuals in our community and the solutions to address them, meet community leaders who are creating positive community change and even participate on United Way committees and board on their way to becoming the organization's future leadership.
