Just over 100 members of Highlands Circle, Women's Leadership Council and the Peaks Society (and their friends) went on a behind-the-scenes tour of two businesses in the South Slope district located on Buxton Avenue on October 22. They got the chance to meet the owners of Green Man Brewery and French Broad Chocolate Factory & Tasting Room, as well as the chance to hear about their expansion plans and more on the horizon. Derek Allen of Ward and Smith, P.A., also welcomed the group and spoke about his experience with planning and zoning in the rapidly changing district.

Thanks to annual sponsors Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP, Northwestern Mutual Asheville and Mission Health for making events for leadership givers and affinity groups possible. We are also thankful to event sponsor Ward and Smith, P.A., to Green Man Brewery for buying everyone's first round, and to French Broad Chocolates for the delicious samples.
