Aakash's Mom and Dad believe in Education

Aakash's parent's, Himanshu and Swati Karvir, are committed to the work of United Way as volunteers and as Leadership Givers, because United Way is committed to our community. Himanshu says through his involvement with United Way, he's seen first hand how our community benefits when we all LIVE UNITED.

For Himanshu and his family, education is a true cornerstone for a better tomorrow. United Way's focus, not only on the area of Education, but also on the areas of Income and Health, is aligned with their belief that a good education is a key stepping stone to community advancement. Everything is interconnected. Without a good education, getting a well-paying job and being able to support a family is going to be difficult. And, of course, without both of these in place, accessing healthcare can be a challenge.

Just as these issues are interconnected, so are people. What happens to the Karvirs' neighbors matters to them, and the Karvirs know they have a stake in their neighbors' success. United Way believes this too, and gives people opportunities to really get involved in improving conditions in our community.
