Make Connections That Count
When you become part of United Way's Women's Leadership (WLC), you have a unique opportunity to connect with influential women at events, develop professionally and make a direct impact in Asheville and Buncombe County. WLC's focus is on increasing access to out-of-school time programs, improving the quality of those programs and advocating for issues that impact middle school students in our community. Ultimately, we’d like to see all students have a successful experience while in middle school and go on to graduate from high school.

Welcome, Future WLC Member
The Women’s Leadership Council mobilizes women to use their energy, talent and passion advocating for social change. We serve as role models for other women by demonstrating the powerful impact women can make when they pool their individual talents and financial resources. In just two years we have over 200 members who are contributing close to $300,000 to the United Way. We focus on Middle School Success championing the cause, sharing the message and supporting middle school students. For me it’s an opportunity to connect with other women who want to be actively involved in creating positive change in people’s lives. We welcome new members…join us today!
