Many health agencies have varied procedures in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Call to confirm current services and note the “COVID-10 Operational Status” column as you search for health and wellness services and behavioral health services.
Food Distribution Resources
Multiple organizations are working together to ensure that those in need are able to access food.
- Find food pickup locations
- Find free meals
- Find restaurants currently offering takeout and delivery
- Apply for public assistance programs such as WIC and SNAP
Governor Cooper's Executive Order No. 124 prohibits all end-user providers of residential electric, natural gas, water, and wastewater utilities services, including local government-owned and operated utilities, from disconnecting utility services to residential customers. Customers should notify utility companies to make arrangements.
Counseling and Mental Health Support
The National Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990 offers crisis counseling and emotional support 24/7 during the COVID-19 outbreak.
If you are a business owner experiencing difficulties as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, help may be available in the form of small business loans.
If your employment has been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis you may be eligible to file an unemployment claim.
