Faith Doyle is a new member of Highlands Circle and is an Asheville native, graduate of UNCA (Biochem), MBA from WCU, and currently works at Oppenheimer as a financial advisor.
Why are you involved with United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County? Giving back to the community that raised me and helping the kids, becoming a mother adds a new level of empathy toward kids.
What makes you smile? My daughter (Aurora "Rory"), my husband (Jeff) and the view around here, it never gets old
What small act of kindness were you once shown that you will never forget? The stranger who put my heavy suit case on the airline scale when the airline employees refused when I was 7 months pregnant.
What activities make you lose track of time? Running in the woods, swimming, and driving on the parkway.
What's something new you recently learned about yourself? I LOVE morning swim practice (especially in the summer), you can't beat watching the stars fade to sunrise while you swim.
What three questions do you wish you had the answers to?
- How to slow babies from growing up so fast.
- How to stop violence.
- How to end homelessness.
Lessons learned from Highlands Circle that have benefited your career? Helping people connect their resources to others builds individuals, the community, and you personally and professionally.

If you could give one piece of advice to a large group, what would it be? Be present, because it is gone in an instant and you can never get it back, make an effort to live in the present.
