Board Game Drive

United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County is collecting academic/critical thinking board games and other activities to be used as supplemental activities at Homework Diners for students who have finished their work. We are looking for new or gently used games from the list below. If you are donating a used game, please make sure that it is playable and be sure that all pieces are included. Items can be dropped off at United Way, 50 S. French Broad Ave, Asheville, NC 28801 between 8:30a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday through the end of October, 2019. "Board games engage student's minds in a way that they don't always get during the day-- there's creative team-building, collaborative problem-solving, and it just allows them to apply some of the concepts they're learning while interacting with their peers and fellow community members," shares Enka Middle Community School Coordinator Ginny Spencer Eudy.
