BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County hosted their Days of Impact initiative on Wednesday. Mission Health employees are among those volunteering within the community. They are working to improve a cross country trail at Enka Middle School.

Organizers said projects like these are happening at schools and non-profits across Buncombe County.

"United Way is really committed to strengthening lives and improving our community," Kyle Garrett said. "And this is just one way we are out in the community to help with different groups that are working in the community."

Representatives said more than 350 local employees are volunteering through United Way service projects this spring. Work will continue through Thursday.
