Community Update: 10/1/2020

Thanks for tuning in to our continuing vlog series focusing on our community school strategy. For those new to this concept, Community Schools are public schools that partner with the community to create the conditions needed for students to thrive.

A key component in our strategy entails expanding and bringing new public schools into our existing matrix. We're very excited to announce A.C. Reynolds Middle School as the newest addition to our network of Community Schools. We're equally excited to introduce Mr. Corry Hyde, United Way's new Community School Coordinator at A.C. Reynolds.

In this week's vlog, Laura talks with Corry to get his perspective on the challenges students, parents, and teachers are navigating and how the community school strategy is helping to address those challenges.
