Cindy Warlick

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I have been in the hospitality industry for 20+ years. I have held a variety of positions such as executive chef, event manager, wedding planner, and food and beverage manager. My work will involve collaborating with others departments as they support our efforts to host new and returning events throughout the community.

Give us a glimpse into your role at United Way. How do you help us fulfill our mission? What are you most excited about accomplishing as a team?

As Community Events and Experience Manager, I will oversee the Community Calendar and create and manage the logistics for these events. My role will involve collaborating with other departments as we support our efforts to host new and returning events. I look forward to working with talented groups of people both on my direct team and throughout the organization. I am humbled to be a part of a dynamic force that works closely with the community and other organizations to build strong lines of communication so that everyone thrives. Being able to give back to our community is an honor.

What’s your favorite thing about our community?

My favorite thing about our community is the genuine love and compassion we share as a people which is expressed through the support provided by our churches, clubs, and other non-profit organizations.

What would we find you doing when you aren’t at work?

Most likely digging in the dirt! I love to plant flowers and shrubs around my yard. Working with soil or digging in the dirt centers me and relieves me of any stress I may be experiencing. but simply brings me joy.

Do you have any podcast, book, music, or movie recommendations?

I enjoy jazz, classical and old-world music. I love romantic comedies. I am a follower of Oprah Winfrey's podcast that speaks to connecting to a deeper meaning in our world. Oprah invites best-selling authors, spiritual luminaries as well as health and wellness experts.

Tell us about any committees or associations you are a part of and/or awards/recognitions you’ve received.

I was awarded "Tools for Success" by the Miller Brewing Company while attending culinary school for outstanding achievements. I currently hold a State Certification from the National Restaurant Association for ServSafe.
