Erika Goffin

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Lived in AVL for 20 years. Anthropology degree from UNCA. Worked for and volunteered at many nonprofits in the area. 11 years working in elder care at CarePartners, nonprofit management, and volunteer coordination/management.

Give us a glimpse into your role at United Way. How do you help us fulfill our mission? What are you most excited about accomplishing as a team?

Have a zest for building community through volunteerism. Enjoy bringing out the best in folks and giving them an outlet to use their skills and talents to create community impact. Most excited about the 100 year anniversary and UW 2.0!

What’s your favorite thing about our community?

The amazing individuals who truly want to make Asheville a more equitable place to work and live!

What would we find you doing when you aren’t at work?

Playing with my golden doodle, spending time with my niece and nephew, watching movies, doing yoga, gardening, clogging with the Mountain Thunder Cloggers.
