Michelle Bennett

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I earned my Master's Degree in International Studies from NC State University (Go Wolfpack!) and Bachelor's in Political Science and International Studies from UNC-Charlotte.     I spent the last 10 years engaging volunteers in big events and ongoing projects to support United Way and the community. Recently, I moved into Human Resources at United Way and love supporting our staff.

Give us a glimpse into your role at United Way. How do you help us fulfill our mission? What are you most excited about accomplishing as a team?

I work to support all employees at United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County. When our employees are supported, they can show up as their best selves to partner with community.

What’s your favorite thing about our community?

Beautiful outdoor spaces to explore!

What would we find you doing when you aren’t at work?

Hiking, chasing my little ones around and exploring the region.

Do you have any podcast, book, music, or movie recommendations?
