7/7/26 --- WLOS News interviewed Sarah Roth, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County's Senior Director of Community Resiliency and the Interim Executive Director for the Buncombe County Long-Term Recovery Group (BCLTRG).
"This is now the time when we see two things," said Sarah Roth, interim executive director of the Buncombe County Long-Term Recovery Group. "We see a drop-off from outside of the area interest, both in terms of funding and volunteers, because there are things that are happening all across the country and the world."
Roth said demand for assistance also continues to grow."You have a lot of people who maybe thought they could do it themselves early on, and now they're discovering that, 'Oh no, I actually do need some support to walk through this process,'" Roth said.
United Way ABC serves as the fiscal and staffing partner for the BCLTRG.
