Many thanks to UNC Asheville for hosting the annual Celebrating Middle School Success exhibition featuring works of art by students from four local schools (A.C. Reynolds Middle School, Asheville Middle School, North Buncombe Middle School and Valley Springs Middle School), March 6-30, in the Sherill Center on the UNC Asheville Campus. The exhibition celebrates our Middle School Success initiative, providing the needed assistance and support to give middle school students ongoing encouragement and support during this critical time in their lives.
An opening reception took place March 6, honoring the students artists and their families, hosted by UNC Asheville Interim Chancellor Joe Urgo, with educational leaders from the region speaking. Thanks so all involved for your ongoing support in this initative. No single individual or organization can accomplish wide-scale community change alone. We are stronger and more powerful when we work together.
