This is Highlands Circle affinity group, a group of young professionals who gather to connect, exchange ideas, and make a positive impact on our community. Recently, United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County (UWABC) had the pleasure of hosting our first Highlands Circle event since 2019 at the incredible Tiki Easy event space inside Hi-Wire Brewing, and it was nothing short of amazing.
The laid-back and fun vibe of Tiki Easy set the perfect backdrop for our gathering, allowing everyone to enjoy each other's company while rolling up their sleeves to give back. Amidst the tropical-themed decor and refreshing drinks, familiar faces mingled with newcomers, sparking lively conversations and forging new connections.
But what truly made this event special was the opportunity to combine socializing with meaningful work. As we soaked in the atmosphere of Tiki Easy, we also came together to brainstorm and execute ways to support local students. In laughter and camaraderie, we assembled snack packs for students at community schools, knowing that even small gestures can make a big difference in a child's day.
At Highlands Circle, we believe in the importance of not only advancing the dreams and careers of young professionals but also using our collective talents and resources to uplift those around us, especially the next generation. Events like the one at Tiki Easy remind us that making a positive impact can be both enjoyable and fulfilling.
