The Junior League of Asheville is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. Through our focus area of childhood literacy, we commit to providing opportunities for our area youth to learn and grow.
WHY UNITED FOR YOUTH
We are committed to providing opportunities for our area youth to learn and grow, including expanding access to books in our area schools and libraries, and throughout the community as a whole. We are so excited for the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing partners who comprise United for Youth!

OUR COMMITMENT
As a member of United for Youth, and through our focus area of childhood literacy, we commit to:
- Raising money for School/Teacher Grants to purchase literacy materials, with a focus on expanding access to books in schools.
- Raising money for the establishment of additional Little Free Libraries within Buncombe County and restocking current libraries with books for kids.
- Raising money for our inaugural Library Partnership Events, which include themed events with guest speakers and guest readers, book giveaways, and support of library card initiatives.
