Join youth, educators, community partners, and business leaders from across Buncombe County for a day dedicated to strengthening the pathway from cradle to career—and to expanding real opportunities for economic mobility.
The Cradle to Career Summit will bring our community together to connect across sectors, examine community data, learn from youth leaders, and shape United for Youth's collaborative strategies. This full-day summit includes inspiring speakers, interactive breakout sessions, youth performances, and space to activate collective action for our community’s future.

eynote speaker, Sherri Chisholm, is a bold thinker and trusted voice in her field, known for turning big ideas into real-world impact. Her perspective will challenge assumptions, spark new thinking, and set the tone for a day of connection and collaboration. Sherri serves as the Executive Director at Leading on Opportunity, a Charlotte-based backbone organization envisioning “That each child has the freedom and chance to dream, pursue those dreams, and live a purposeful life – without exception.”
