It's Summer time, and that means it's time for the School Supply Drive (June 15 - July 17).
When a student walks into the first day of school ready to learn, the whole community wins. That's the idea behind Youth Opportunity — and the 2026 School Supply Drive is one of the most direct ways to put it into action.
Each year, volunteers, businesses, and partners across Asheville and Buncombe County purchase the necessary school supplies, pack and deliver fully stocked backpacks to students who need them. Last year, that effort put a fully stocked backpack in the hands of 2,866 students on the first day of school.
