Sharing a Lifetime's Worth of Knowledge and Experience

After retirement many adults find themselves on a brand new journey, one to find personal contentment and meaning apart from those benchmarks they've linked to happiness throughout their lives — family, career, routine, etc. This journey should be a time of unbelievable growth, fulfillment, continued happiness, and joy.

Now that you've embarked on this new journey, you may find yourself with more time to devote to your community. Being able to volunteer through our Hands On network allows you to give back and create new relationships with those in your community.

If you're a retiree, we invite you to explore all that this new and exciting phase of life has to offer by joining United Way's Retire United Affinity Group.

Retire United recognizes retirees (or those soon to retire) who make an annual investment in the Live United Fund.

Plan for your future and leave a legacy with United Way

Interested in powering the impact of United Way into the future? A simple, flexible, and versatile way is to make a planned gift through a retirement plan, an insurance plan, or a charitable bequest. A charitable bequest to United Way can be added to your will or living trust in as little as one sentence and will allow our Board of Directors to steward your final gift for its greatest impact. Or choose to direct your contribution to an Endowment and ensure that your annual gift is sustained in perpetuity. (TAX ID/EIN# 56-0576157).

Please let us know if you have already made provisions for United Way in your estate plan so we may acknowledge your commitment in United Way's Legacy Giving Society. Connect with Heather Wingert for more information. He and a member of our Planned Giving Committee would be happy to meet with you.
