Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I’m originally from Chicago and lived in New Orleans for 9 years. Most of my professional experience has been in tutoring, mentoring, and teaching. I transitioned into data because it not only serves as a flashlight but a mirror to reflect on our individual roles within the full picture.
Give us a glimpse into your role at United Way. How do you help us fulfill our mission? What are you most excited about accomplishing as a team?
I primarily maintain data for our Early Warning and Response System. I support our community partners in ensuring they know how to properly access and disclose student data, especially when linked to a particular student’s identity. Above all, I seek to help foster a healthy data culture.
What’s your favorite thing about our community?
I appreciate the commitment of our community to invest in one another and not simply co-exist.
What would we find you doing when you aren’t at work?
Depends on the season/ still evolving
