2019 Women United Social

Thanks to everyone who came out to last week's Women United Spring Social. As always, it's truly inspiring to see so many visionary and focused women committed to a worthy cause. Thank you all for your inspiration and dedication to ensuring the necessary resources that enable students to win in the classroom and families to succeed in the community.

Congratulations go out to Lynne Froeba who received this year's Women United Taylor Foss Award, in part for the critical role she played in getting the Resource Rooms up and running at Erwin and Asheville Middle Schools. In fact, Lynne — who also gives her time as a Women United Executive Committee member — went so far as to wash clothing donations at her own home in preparation for the opening of our Resource Rooms. Way to go Lynne — thank you for leading by example and going the extra mile!

As always, we would also like to thank our Women United Co-Chairs, Ashley Smith and Jenny Boyer. We appreciate and thank you for your leadership.

WHY WOMEN UNITED

Women United members are a group of powerful leaders preparing today's youth to succeed in tomorrow's world. As an integral part of United Way, Women United fights to ensure the necessary resources that enable students to win in the classrooms and families to succeed in the community. We are a diverse, vibrant association, bound together by a powerful sense of belonging — to each other, our mission and community.

TELL A FRIEND

We are focused this year on a simple goal: each Women United member recruiting 1 new member (Each One Bring One). For more information to provide your prospect, log on to our Women United Page.

UP NEXT

The School Supply Drive is right around the corner — July 8th through the 30th. Our goal for this year is to collect and distribute 2,500 fully stocked backpacks. If each of us commits to either buying or donating the cost of two fully stocked backpacks, we will have made a considerable difference in the lives of local students and made a powerful statement about the Women United Brand. More information coming soon!
