Last week, Highland's Circle held a fantastic event, Social on the Stage, at Diana Wortham Theatre. With a networking icebreaker from Chad Littlefield, the co-founder of We!™, and food and drinks provided by Diamond Brand, attendees had a great time!
Our president, David Bailey submitted the following to the Asheville Citizen-Times Report Card
An A to the recent MLK Breakfast and specifically the remarks of their keynote speaker: Rodney Johnson. Johnson gave a personal and poignant talk about growing up in Asheville - opening the curtains to the challenges and uniqueness of being an African-American living in Asheville in the 1950s through the early 1980s.
When we think about our rock stars, the people and companies that go above and beyond, time after time, year after year, it is impossible to create a list that doesn't have the Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG) team right at the top. So when our staff had an opportunity to make a nomination for the Spirit of North Carolina award, we knew it had to be our friends at DHG.

First and foremost - THANK YOU for your commitment to our community and for being/becoming a volunteer with us!
In an effort to reduce paper consumption, we've moved our annual membership paperwork online. There are only a few questions and it should take you only a few minutes to complete. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Note: Confidentiality and Conflict of Interest
You're in a Board or Committee meeting. You've got a great idea, a comment, or a question.
You might have had a chance to share it out loud or not. Either way, you want to make sure your thought isn't just a flash in the pan, you want to make sure we capture it and, even better, do something with it.
Here's one way — write it down. Fill this form out during the meeting or afterward. Your submission will go to both Dan and Karen and they will make sure the right staff member gets it. How easy is that?
Thank you so much for being willing to share some of your story with our community. You may be asking "What in the world? Why me?"
